This week we passed the 150 mile marker which means we are 1/20th the way through the PCT!
The days are starting to get hotter in the desert so the water carry's are also getting longer, but it's helping us become stronger hikers. The first week we were averaging 12 miles a day and this past week we are averaging closer to 16!
Orange (Craig) and I have been feeling great and our bodies are holding up nicely. Our feet get sore by the end of the day from carrying the packs so it is always a treat to find a campsite to start the recovery process. Some nights I go to bed thinking there is no way I will be able to walk the next day but then I wake up ready to go! The body can do amazing things.
We have met so many nice people along the trail who have helped us tremendously. From hitches into town, trail magic with fresh fruit and ice cold drinks to water caches in between long natural water carry's. The trail really brings out the best of people and everyone is so willing to help some stinky hikers out.
We are headed towards the San Jacinto mountains next so we will be experiencing a whole new environment from the desert. There is quite a bit of snow still up there from this years snow so it will be an adventure. It'll be nice to get away from cactus and sand for a few days at least!
Here are some pictures from the last few days:

Eagle Rock

Woo-hoo, looks like a blast! Be safe, Hannah and I are cheering you guys on.

Does Lindsay have a trail name yet?? If you haven't yet, enjoy a desert siesta under a shade tree at a water source :)
