We have officially been on trail for one week! We are taking a Nero in Julian CA (we walked only 2.5 miles) and hitched into town. Julian is a cool town and there is a pie shop called Moms Shop that gave PCT hikers free pie, ice cream and coffee. It was amazing!

I can't believe that it has already been a week on trail. It has been such a spectacular trip with the most amazing views.

The first few days were actually pretty chilly that we started the day bundle up in a base layer and beanie! It was perfect hiking weather. The afternoons are definitely starting to heat up so we are grateful for any shady seat we find to relax (and usually eat!). The days are starting to feel routine. Get up in the morning, make some coffee and eat breakfast. Then we pack up everything and start hiking! Luckily this year the water sources have been plentiful so the water carries have been short. Yesterday we had a 13 mile water carry so we each had 6 liters which made the packs feel extra heavy. But we were so happy when we arrived at camp and had lots of water.

Our bodies are holding up actually pretty well with averaging 13 miles a day. When the bodies start feeling sore we just look out and admire the view and remember why we're out here.

Here are some pictures from the first week!
